De Belastingdienst staat voor de opgave om tegen de achtergrond van beperkte financiële ruimte te investeren in strategische prioriteiten. Daarom is het noodzakelijk om ruimte te maken door te herprioriteren binnen de centrale staven. Er is extern onderzoek verricht naar de mogelijkheden hiervan.
